CoD Division is now fully staffed again - What TG like minded gamers can do

It took a while, but since June of last year, we've cleaned up the mess left by the previous Chain of Command and re-implemented the fundamentals that allowed us to be around for 20 years now.
 
The departure of certain individuals has opened the door for others with vast experience (Corps Commanders & above) to come back, For example, The man, the myth, the legend, TG's Godfather returned and helped us clean up the website, update Discord, documents and procedures and then took over as a Division Officer (DO) of CoD Division. Because of his experience on how to build and grow a Division, it didn't take long for new members to start pouring in.
 
Today, CoD is pretty much fully staffed with close to a full Platoon (6 Squads) in each Battalion. WIth his mission completed, @SenileSarge has taken over as DO of Vanguard Division to help the Hell Divers members graduate from Vanguard Division and become the Hell Divers Division. in addition, @Forest28 1996 has been been announced as the new DO of CoD Division.

This award is given by TG Command only.

Helldivers added to TacticalGaming.net!

If you are a gamer, you know Helldivers 2 is in our orbit. TG is excited to announce we now support the squad of four co-op gaming sensation, Helldivers 2!
 
Playing as a team, synchronized tactics and playing to achieve the objective is paramount to success. Teaming up and deciding the best load outs, and plan of attack, to destroy the alien bugs is the mission to save the democracy. If you are faint of heart, stay clear of this alien infested galaxy. However, if you are up to the task, squad up and fight Terminids while facing all kinds alien life forms.
 
f you are looking for a squad with great communication and a team mentality to survive fighting on Super Earth, join our Tactical Gaming Hell Divers 2 squads. Adding games we don't currently support to our Discord

Hello everyone, 
 
As some of you know, to ensure a game has the best chance to grow and graduate from Vanguard Division to become its own Division, we’ve made important changes to come back to the fundamentals we did when we grew to almost 3000 members. and to avoid the mistakes done by the previous Chain of Command
 
But we do want to help you play games we don’t currently support. So when we see a game that has become popular outside of TG or popular in our Discord’s non-tg-games forum, we will add it to Discord allowing you to @mention it when your looking for other gamers in our Discord’s non-tg-lfg.
 


So our Discord’s onboarding process has been updated to include a new Non TG Games section where people can select the games we've added. For those of you who are already in our Discord, simply go to the top of our Discord and click on Channels & Roles
 

 
As you can see, we’ve already added several games but feel free to post new games to talk about in our Discord’s non-tg-games forum and if we see people play it, we will add it.

Call of Duty 2024

CoD 2024 is expected to be the next installment in the popular Black Ops series and will be set against real-time historical events. The series is set to explore more recent history, with a focus on the 1990s Gulf War.  The game is expected to focus on the CIA's covert operations against the coalition forces led by the US in the war against Saddam Hussein in Iraq. 
 
Since this game would be set in recent history, the technology would be real-world from the conflict rather than near-future technology.  It may also be a Cold War-set game, which is fitting for the series' reputation for a paranoia-thrilling alternate history retelling. The game may also include returning Black ops maps and a new Zombies mode. 
 
This will also mark the second release of a Call of Duty game under Microsoft's ownership, following the significant acquisition of Activision Blizzard that was completed shortly before the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this year. However, despite Microsoft now owning the series, it will not become exclusive to their platform.  Despite Microsoft's acquisition of Activision, assurances from Phil Spencer indicate availability on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. There's also speculation about a potential release on Nintendo hardware.
 
Treyarch's most recent release was Black Ops: Cold War in 2020, so if they were to release a new game in 2024, it would mark a significantly longer development period for the Call of Duty series. This would be quite different from the production of Modern Warfare 3, which reportedly had a remarkably fast development time, potentially resulting in some unfavorable feedback. Additionally, Activision might consider providing early access to the campaign as a preorder bonus, as well as several weeks of early access to other game modes.

End of an Era: GameBattles Announces Closure

In a surprising turn of events, GameBattles, the popular online gaming platform, has officially announced it will close on January 15, 2024. The platform, known for hosting competitive gaming tournaments across various titles, has been a staple in the gaming community for years.
 
Citing unforeseen challenges and changes in the gaming landscape, GameBattles made the difficult decision to shut down its operations. The announcement comes as a shock to many avid gamers who have relied on the platform to showcase their skills and engage in competitive play.
 
Founded on the principle of providing a competitive environment for gamers to hone their talents, GameBattles has played a significant role in shaping the esports scene. Its closure raises questions about the future of similar platforms and the evolving dynamics of competitive gaming.
 
Gamers and esports enthusiasts took to social media to express their nostalgia and disappointment at the news. Many shared fond memories of intense matches, unforgettable victories, and the sense of camaraderie fostered by the GameBattles community.
 
The closure also leaves a void in the esports industry, with players and teams losing a prominent platform for competition and exposure. As the gaming community absorbs this news, discussions are emerging about the potential impact on the broader esports ecosystem and the need for new platforms to fill the void left by GameBattles.
 
While the reasons behind the closure remain undisclosed, the announcement marks the end of an era for a platform that has been instrumental in shaping the competitive gaming landscape. As gamers reflect on the impact of GameBattles on their gaming journeys, the closure prompts a larger conversation about the ever-changing nature of the esports industry and the challenges faced by even the most established platforms.

Arma Reforger | Road to Arma 4

Arma Reforger, the latest game in the long-running milsim series, has been in Early Access since May last year. The 1.0 update update includes helicopters, a totally revised supply system, and as close to fast travel as the relentlessly realistic shooter will allow. Reforger now includes the UH-1H and Mi-8MT, two real choppers, which have been created with functional cockpit instruments and all-new flight model. Bohemia call it "the most realistic" flight of any Arma game to date, and as the developers of Take On Helicopters one suspects they know their stuff.
 
Supplies were previously represented in Reforger as a simple points system, but they're now physical objects found within the world that can be transported by vehicle. "Build support structures and fortifications, refuel and repair vehicles, and keep your bases stocked with supplies to strategically expand your foothold on the island." I'm just nuts about games that feature multiplayer logistics, because I long to be as far from the frontline as possible in any military simulation. And let's not forget that Reforger brings together PC and Xbox players together by being crossplatform which fit perfeclty with TG's core value of bringing gamers together from around the world and from multiple platforms 

There's also a new "transport request" system, through which you can travel instantly to the vicinity of your squad leader if you can pinpoint your current coordinates. It's designed to help teams stay together over long matches, but there are limitations in terms of when and how often you can do it to stop people teleporting all the time. You can read more about the above, and find the full changelog, at the Arma site.

Reforger includes a couple of multiplayer modes, as well as a "Game Master" mode where one player can craft encounters for others with a real-time editor. It's also the first Arma game to run on Bohemia's new Enfusion engine, with new mod tools and a new distribution platform. In this way, Bohemia explicitly say Reforger is a bridge towards their next major sequel, Arma 4 (A4).
 
When comparing ARMA 3 (A3) to Reforger, we can observe the inclusion of features in A3 that were previously lacking, thanks to Bohemian integrating solutions developed by the A3 mod community. For instance:
 
The introduction of radio communications allows for the use of short-range radios for squad communication and long-range radios for platoon communication, facilitating seamless communication between squads. The ability to jump, vault, and climb over various objects has been significantly improved, making these actions easier to perform. Mod management has been greatly enhanced, with mods being automatically downloaded and installed as soon as you connect to the server. The medical system in Reforger has become more realistic compared to its previous version.  
Speaking of mods, similar to A3, the Reforger mod community has created a plethora of mods that continuously enhance the game, contributing to the longevity of A3 for over 10 years. It is exciting to anticipate what A4 will bring to the table.

Hello all, 
 
The holiday season and the beginning of a new year is an excellent time to re-evaluate your life, set goals, and work toward them. Whether switching to a healthier diet, exercising more, or recruiting new members 😂, the new year brings 365 days full of opportunities.
 
So It's so cliché 🙄, but in the last few years, I’ve had health issues that became very serious. I was lucky enough to have the support from my life partner, our families and friends. With my surgery now behind me, I really understand the importance of having them. 
 
So in 2024, I really hope you all make your health (physical and mental), your family and friends your top priorities. 
 
I wish you all happy holidays. 🥳 
 
Since a lot  of people won't be around, Sunday's practice is optional.
